I was so excited to stay at High Hill Farm, a place that has been on my Texas bucket list for a while now! After spending a wonderful weekend here, I wish I would have gotten here sooner and so glad I finally made it to this magical place!
High Hill Farm is located in the small town of Arp, Texas about 30 minutes outside of Tyler, Texas. As soon as you arrive after a beautiful drive through the East Texas pines and rolling hills, you arrive at a perfectly designed resort and quickly realize this is going to be a great time! The design inspiration comes from the architecture and design you find in 30A and is stunning!
High Hill Farm offers a variety of accommodations to suit your needs. Whether you're planning a romantic getaway for two in one of their cozy cottages or seeking a larger cottage for a group or family retreat, they have you covered. The best part is that once you're here, you won't want to leave! With an on-site restaurant, a pool, and beautiful views, High Hill Farm provides everything you want for a truly unforgettable stay.
Where to Eat
- High Hill Farm: When it comes to dining options, High Hill Farm's own restaurant is a must-visit. Their dishes are prepared with locally sourced ingredients and truly delicious.
- Country Tavern: Get the ribs, end of story!
- Brisket Love: (In Lindale) had amazing BBQ and one of the only places I've seen you can order burnt ends in Texas! Yes please!
-Stanely's Famous Pit BBQ: We haven't made it here, but heard the Mother Clucker is a MUST!
What to Do
- Take a hike along the property that leads to beautiful views and a peaceful walk.
- Golf cart around the expansive property, which you can rent at the front desk when you check in.
- Relax by the pool and soak up the Texas sun or play some bocce ball (located at the front of the resort).
- Take a trip into Tyler should you care to venture out of High Hill Farm for some shopping and dining!
- For Miranda Lambert fans, head over to Lindale, where you can visit the Pink Pistol and enjoy some wine next door at the Red 55 Winery (we loved the sparkling wine!)
Helpful Planning Tips
- Keep in mind that certain areas may have limited cell phone and Wi-Fi reception, so plan accordingly.
-High Hill Farm provides a light breakfast each day and you can opt for a full breakfast, if you'd like. The breakfast that was provided was great and would recommend splurging for the Sunday brunch!
-Bring all the goodies you will need to relax and enjoy a slower paced getaway like books, games and your favorite snacks.
Hope you enjoy this special spot as much as we did!
